Testing with an early pregnancy test

Are there any women here who have tested with an early test that was negative but later turned positive?
Let me briefly describe my situation: I got my last period on 25/8, it lasted 5 days. According to ovulation sticks, I ovulated on 18/9. I was just too curious this morning, so I did an early test, and it was negative.. Since I don't read many good comments about early testing, I'm asking here :-)
Oh by the way: first month after stopping the pill :-) so no idea about my cycle length.. with the pill it was always 28 days

    Hey Steffidw, I tested negative two days before my expected period with an early test and positive one day before with a regular test. So it can happen! When is your expected period? Sending strength while you wait

    My ovulation was on 18/9, so I assume my period will be on 2/10. I tested today, so a bit earlier than 2 days before, couldn't hold back hihi..

    I’ve also got those early z&k tests, but I have strong doubts about them. I mostly read bad experiences with them, so I don’t trust the result. I’m quite annoyed that I ordered these tests; I’m more of an Action or Kruidvat 2-for-5 person. I still have 1 or 2 days until my period, but somewhere deep down I feel like it might be positive. I have tender breasts and need to pee often! But of course, I might just be imagining it because I’ve been thinking about it a lot haha. Two more days of patience, and otherwise I’ll send my boyfriend to the pharmacy on Sunday.
