Pregnancy test after miscarriage

Hi ladies,

I had a miscarriage more than 6 weeks ago at around 5.5 weeks. After that, I had an ultrasound to check if everything had passed.
So far, I haven't had my period yet. For the past week, I've been feeling nauseous, and for two weeks, I've had a bloated stomach. I haven't taken any tests in between, so I don't know if they were negative.
Today, I took two tests, and both were positive. There was a clear line, though not as dark as the control line yet.
What do you think? Could this be a new pregnancy?

Love, Michelle

It could still be from the pregnancy... I tested positive for a few weeks too, but it could also be a new pregnancy. If your tests are getting darker, that's good; if they're fading, not so much... annoying, right, that uncertainty,,,,

Don't rely too much on tests. Go to your GP for a high hcg.

It could definitely be a new pregnancy. I ovulated more than 4 weeks after my early miscarriage and got pregnant right away. If you keep testing and the results are positive, you'll know for sure. I kept testing after the miscarriage until the tests were negative, so I knew for sure. Good luck!

    And still tested?

Thanks for your replies. I tested again yesterday and both are darker than they were two days ago. It looks like it might be a new pregnancy after all!

    Congratulations!!

I had a positive test again after 4 weeks following my spontaneous miscarriage at 11 weeks, and now it’s a twin pregnancy at 19 months, so that’s possible????

Oh congratulations!! Did you notice it was twins at the first ultrasound?
  9. FHra #10

Yup, I was extra nauseous so I already told my husband it was a twin pregnancy. Then at the 7-week ultrasound, we saw it right away.
They're now 19 months old and really want a third one, so I'm curious how it'll go. Currently in the first round.
How are you feeling? Are you having a lot of symptoms?
  10. Meissie #11

    Oh, how exciting!!
I’m actually doing pretty well considering the extreme mood swings... phew, I can get so angry about nothing and then start crying too, haha. My breasts are also growing quite a bit and they’re sensitive.
Other than that, nothing much haha, oh yeah, still no appetite at all.

Oh yeah, pff I'm already dreading the symptoms again haha! But we have to be willing to put in the effort ????. And of course, keeping it a secret.

    Did you test Michelle again?

I was c-sectioned 14 weeks ago, but haven't had my period yet. Two weeks ago I had one day of bleeding, and now I have more pimples and white discharge. I'm urinating a lot. It's making me a bit worried.
    Best, Debby
