Can someone explain to me how ovulation tests work?

Hi,
We're trying to conceive and I'm using ovulation tests. Last Friday I got two thick positive lines. So my ovulation should be coming up the next day.. right. Within 12 to 48 hours. I tested on Saturday, yesterday, and today. And the test line kept fading. Today for the first time no line at all. So has my ovulation already happened, or could it still be within 12-48 hours? Or do you count from the moment there are two equally clear lines?

Hi, from the moment your test is positive, your egg will be released within 12 to 48 hours.
So your egg has already been released

You count from the moment you get a positive ovulation test, so two lines of the same darkness or the test line darker than the control line. It’s about the clarity of the color, not the thickness of the line itself.
So you had it right, now it’s just waiting
