Hi hi!
We're almost 6 weeks pregnant and I don't have any of those symptoms you read or hear about everywhere. So sometimes I do get a little worried. I just have a lot of pimples, need to pee a bit more, and have some extra white discharge, but otherwise... we're having our first ultrasound in two weeks.

Greetings!

    Hey Sophie,
Don't worry about the symptoms, mine didn't show up until around week 8 either, and then they were really intense: nauseous all day, terribly tired, oily hair, oily skin. The tiredness is still there and the nausea has improved, but I still have a bad day now and then.
Enjoy your symptom-free period, or maybe you'll just have fewer symptoms. I hardly had any symptoms during my first pregnancy either!

    Hi!
    Thanks for the quick reply..
My parents don't know yet, so asking them might be hard, right? As far as I know, there are no hereditary diseases.. my mom has the same GP, so I would have heard something if there was. I'm just so scared that something might be wrong.. But as long as everything stays as it is, it'll be fine, right? You always have to see something terrible like a miscarriage, right? Since I work as a domestic helper and often have to carry heavy things up and down the stairs, and bend over and drag a lot.. I'm so afraid of doing something wrong.
    Best wishes and thanks again!

    Hey L
I’m also going to wait until 12 weeks to tell people.. So far I haven’t had any bleeding or cramps.. nothing at all.. which is exactly why I’m worried.. but it’s probably all in my head.. An appointment with our gynecologist can only be on November 7th.. so a bit more patience! Then I’ll be a bit more than 8 weeks, so we’ll know more! Patience is unfortunately not one of my traits So in the meantime, I’m being careful about what I do, okay.. It must have been lovely, hearing the little heart beat?

    Hey Sophie,
I'm 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow and I do have some discomfort, but you can say that the worry is there too! Trying to think positively and enjoy it, although it's sometimes difficult because you keep wondering if everything is okay in there! I already had an ultrasound and everything looks good... That's nice to hear, but then a few days later you start thinking again... Is everything really okay? Pff, it's tough! Another ultrasound on Monday and I hope everything will be fine then!
Take it easy and hope that time goes by quickly for you!
    Love, Lynn

    Hey Lynn!
Thanks for your reply.. yeah, we'll probably only feel really at ease once the baby is actually in our arms! Indeed, let's hope time moves faster! Are you living in Belgium? Because if you're getting your second ultrasound at 7 weeks.. that's quite a while, right! I could only have the first one done around 8 weeks, the doctor said.. then they can suddenly see if the little heart is already beating etc..
    Greetings!

    Good morning Sophie,

You don't need to worry at all, like the others said, if you don't have any symptoms. You should be happy; some people here really struggle with it, while others don't. It's really distributed like that. I never had any symptoms at the beginning. Well, we were already 10 weeks and 4 days before we found out we were pregnant, and I myself didn't notice anything because I got my period normally for the first two months. I'm also from Belgium and had my first real symptoms at 10 weeks and 4 days, and the second at 12 weeks. And so I'm going back for check-ups every 4 weeks. Now I have to do the 28-week ultrasound on Nov 8, and then I have to go back on Nov 20, and then about every 3 weeks until December, and then every week in January. There's even only 3 days between 2 ultrasounds... It also depends a lot on the gynecologist, I think.

But I also worked in the healthcare sector, namely in the orthopedics ward at a hospital, and I had to lift people who sometimes weighed up to 100 kg... It's normal to worry a bit when you know you're pregnant and have to carry a heavy load, so just be careful. If you don't feel 100% about something, take it easier and if necessary, go to the doctor one more time than usual.

Just bite the bullet a bit longer and you can see your first ultrasound so you feel a bit more at ease.

In any case, keep us posted! And lots of success with your pregnancy, and just do everything at a lower intensity at work so you feel secure!

    Love, Daphne

    Hi hi,

Here’s someone who is now 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant. I hardly have any symptoms here, and I’m really stressing out about that! And I know I shouldn’t do that. It’s not good for the baby. I just noticed a very light drop of light pink blood when wiping after peeing. It was really tiny, but I was shaking on the toilet. I just got back from the podiatrist for my back pain, and they really pulled on my belly and pelvis. I really hope that has something to do with it.

Besides that, my breasts are sensitive, but not bigger than usual! Sometimes I have a lot of discomfort, and other times nothing at all. I’m 34 and work in childcare, but I didn’t think I’d be this insecure.

I just want to hope for a good outcome for the pregnancy. Last time, I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks and 2 days. So now I’m at 6 weeks and 3 days, but I’m so scared, so scared.

    Hope you can reassure me.

    Best, Claartje

    Hi Claartje,

It's totally normal to worry, really. I probably would have done the same if I'd known earlier that I was pregnant and hadn't had any symptoms. But it really varies from woman to woman, so there's no need to worry too much.

As for that little drop of light pink blood, normally that shouldn't be a problem. I even got my period at 2 months... but given your history, it's natural to be worried immediately. If you're really unsure, just give your GP, midwife, or doctor a quick call—they'll know what to do.

But you mentioned they were pulling hard on you, so it could be related to that. And the back pain might just be lingering from the pregnancy. Give them a call so you can feel 100% sure for yourself, but normally this shouldn't be too harmful.

Good luck, and a big congratulations on your pregnancy! Don't stress too much, it's definitely not good for you. And definitely let your workplace know, because if you work in a daycare, you should normally stop working immediately from the day you know you're pregnant due to infection risks like CMV, which can be passed on by small children.

    Keep us posted!

    Lots of love,
    Daphne

    Hi dear Daphne,
Thank you so much!!! I'm also incredibly happy but really scared too! I'll continue blogging later, but my husband just came in!

    Hey Claartje and Daphne,

Glad to hear I'm not alone... and that this is actually normal! I was starting to think I was going a bit crazy for even thinking that.. Since today I've been getting a bit short of breath now and then, but otherwise, apart from my breasts, still nothing! Gotta be patient until November 8th! And at work, I'm taking it easy anyway! Our baby is more important than my job

    Greetings!

    Hello ladies,
  15. Mommy-Of-Nyana #16

    Good evening Sophie,
I myself never really had any issues with my breasts until now, and especially at night I'm losing some milk. I'm not sure if it's real milk or not... but I've been waking up for a few days now with spots on my shirt, thought I was dreaming and put on new clothes, only to find them again the next morning. I got up very early this morning and saw it with my own eyes... Well, everything will probably start working soon, I guess, but it does feel a bit strange though

Hope you won't have any more discomfort from these issues... then you can really enjoy yourself without worrying about the problems.

    Love,

    Hi everyone,

I had a miscarriage last year. And now I'm pregnant again. In the beginning, I had some symptoms like sore breasts, but for the past few days, I haven't had any symptoms at all, and I don't feel pregnant either. I have an ultrasound in two weeks, when I'll be 8 weeks pregnant. I'm so incredibly scared that something is wrong again. I can't sleep because of it. Why have my symptoms decreased? Does that mean it's a miscarriage?
  17. madelene #18

I didn't have any symptoms at all with my first either. They only started later, around 9 weeks. With the second one, I had them very early on, even before I was overdue. That's why I also realized I was pregnant early. She let me know early that she was in there And now with this third pregnancy, I did have symptoms at the beginning. Very nauseous. But not as quickly as with the second one. It was more intense with the nausea. So you see, it can even vary from one pregnancy to another. Don't worry too much. Every pregnancy, the body reacts differently. I was amazed at how different my pregnancies could be from each other.

I barely had any symptoms in the first 10 weeks of this pregnancy. It made me a bit insecure, but everything was fine. Yeah, every pregnancy is different. Now I'm 18 weeks and getting all the symptoms back, double and with a vengeance, haha.

Hey! I'm 7 weeks and 2 days and I don't have any other symptoms either! Besides being tired and having pimples.. I find this very strange and I'm worried. This is my second pregnancy; with the first one, I was already nauseous and tired at 5 weeks..
