With any contraception, there's still a chance you could get pregnant. So even if the chance is small, I'd test again in a few days if I were you. The result should be clearer then. I don't have experience with the IUD, but as far as I know, it shouldn't affect the test. Only hCG gives a positive result. If you're still unsure in a few days or think you might be pregnant, you'll need to call your GP. That's what they're there for, right?

Thanks for replying! Here's the situation... last year on Sept 6 I had an abortion... against my will actually, I really wanted to keep the baby but well, you don't decide that alone and I have 2 other kids whom I want to make sure get the right care. My husband absolutely didn't want any more kids. I still feel ashamed about it, really.. But anyway, I got an IUD inserted right after.
I do want to go to the GP but this is just such a sensitive topic for me, I'm afraid she'll say I'm fooling myself. Because after the abortion I went to my GP to get help processing everything. And if I now come in with symptoms idk.. maybe I'm scared she'll say I'm pregnant or definitely not. Such a sensitive topic for me..
I'll wait a bit more indeed..
My period started on Aug 4.
On the 24th I got brown discharge.
    It stopped on the 27th/28th
And I'm still waiting for my period..

It's wise to make an appointment with your GP. If you're pregnant, it's important to check whether your Mirena is still in place. If it is, you'll need to discuss and decide whether to have it removed or not.

Oh that's intense, girl, but you've done everything to avoid getting pregnant. If you are pregnant, you're facing a tough decision again. I understand you chose to respect your husband/kids. But when 2 kids are growing up, a third can fit in too! Strength and success these days.
