Did I get a positive ovulation test?

Hi everyone.

I was a member here 3 years ago. I got pregnant unexpectedly, so I had zero experience with ovulation tests. Now that we're trying for a second baby, I've finally bought some. I'm getting a bit confused, though. I got the dipsticks and the CB tests. With the CB tests, you're supposed to get a steady smiley face, but so far I've only had flashing smileys, while the dipsticks seem to indicate that I did ovulate. Would you mind taking a look for me?
Thanks in advance! !!!!!

With the dipsticks, none of them are positive. When was your last period? Did you test again this weekend?

No? Are the lines not dark enough then?
Yes, but not with the dipsticks, but with the CB. It kept showing a flashing smiley.
My last period started on August 2nd.

The Clearblue that blinks is very confusing; it keeps blinking at least for me.
The pink Clearblue doesn't blink and gives a steady smiley. Personally, I find it clearer.

If you have a regular and standard cycle, you would have ovulated around August 16th, so you started testing a bit late. You probably missed your ovulation.

I tested starting from week 12, but only got a (what I thought was) positive test on the 19th. So I'm not regular.
Based on those tests, I calculated that I could do an early test today. Obviously, it was completely negative. So I also did an ovulation test, don't know why. But this came out of it.. what do you guys think, am I ovulating now?

If the test line is even or darker than the control line, then it's your LH peak and you'll ovulate within 12-48 hours.
If that darkest line is your test line, then you'll ovulate tonight or tomorrow for sure.

But then I do have a really long cycle, right?

The darkest line (left) is not the test line. That's the right one.

Yeah, that’s right (unless you really missed ovulation and are now testing positive due to pregnancy). I’d wait for your period, test again, and if it takes that long, see the doctor.
I’d do the same if there’s less than 5 days between ovulation and menstruation (so earlier than 6-7 days after a positive ovulation test).

This one isn't positive yet, but she's moving again, so I'll keep testing for a bit more..
On the other hand, I used the Action ovulation test this month and didn't get a clear positive either..
    Good luck!

I really didn't miss my ovulation. I'm sure of it. I started testing on the 10th (calculated that my egg would come on the 16th) so I wouldn't miss it. But yeah, it got really darker on the 19th and 20th. Then it got lighter again.
But shouldn't the positive line be the same or darker than the test line? That's the case now.

I'm ovulating now. Just had a CB test. Fixed smiley now.

If you have a smiley, you'll ovulate within 12-48 hours, because during ovulation the LH peak is gone again.

Yeah, that's what I mean, he's coming up hahaha
