Very painful cramps.

Hi,
I'm currently 7 almost 8 weeks pregnant. I just had really intense cramps, really in my uterus and cervix. It hurts so much that I really have to lie down and breathe through the cramps. Then after 20 minutes the worst pain is gone and I can move again. Sitting still hurts for a while after that and walking straight isn't possible right away either. As far as I know, the first time I had such severe pain was during implantation (was 1 week before the positive test), but yeah, it seems to me that I can't have pain from that anymore. Does anyone have experience with this or any idea what it could be? For now I'm not losing any blood or anything, I don't know if you have a few episodes of severe pain first with a miscarriage or if you start bleeding right away?

Don't worry too much about it. That crampy pain can be because your uterus is growing and is very sensitive due to increased blood flow. As you mentioned yourself, you're not losing any blood. When is your ultrasound?

    Hi!
Thanks for your quick reply. I'm trying really hard not to stress about it. My last two pregnancies were such a nightmare that I'm scared of everything now. I don't have my first ultrasound until late September, so I have to be patient. Because of my previous pregnancies, I'm allowed to drop by anytime I'm worried, but then I feel like such a pain, so I'll just wait a bit longer.
    Love,

Oh, that's really tough for you. But you're definitely not being a nag if you're worried. That's what they're there for. I wouldn't call right away either, but if it gets worse, just do it. Good luck with your pregnancy! Try to enjoy it.
