Good morning ladies!
I have a question and hope there are some lovely moms (to be) here who can give some advice.
I stopped the pill 6 months ago because I want a child.
After that, I had a cycle of 46 days and the next month 32 days.
My cycle has been regular at 28 days since May.
May 28 (day 1) to June 24, 28 days.
June 25 to July 23, also 28 days.
And now I am 3 days past my expected period and feeling desperate.
We had intercourse at the right times, and I have multiple symptoms;
- Headache
- Pain in my (lower) back
- Nauseous
- Feeling nauseous from smells
- Vomiting (while I have a phobia for this and it rarely happens)
- Craving sweet tasty food, even right after dinner for example.
- My breasts are a bit bigger (according to my boyfriend)
- The veins are more visible, my boyfriend noticed this before I saw it.
- Breasts are sensitive and painful, nipples are also a bit redder.
- Swollen belly and a bloated feeling.
- I'm usually a stomach sleeper, but lying on my stomach doesn't feel good at all right now...
I took 2 tests from different brands, one on the expected day and this morning both tested with morning urine and got a negative result.

Could it still be possible? Or am I imagining it?

I think it's still possible. I also have a phobia of vomiting, so if that were to happen suddenly, I'd be 100% sure
All other symptoms also point in that direction.
Just wait a little longer and test again tomorrow!

No experience yet since I'm still in my second round My due date is coming up in the next few days. But I don't feel anything at all so I think it's nothing.
The advantage of that phobia is that I'm not even super disappointed because that means an extra month without nausea postponement of execution haha
Have you ever tried a Kruidvat 2 for 5 euro test? These are supposed to be very sensitive!

haha yes exactly, nicely putting off the chaos!
for EDD I already had all sorts of symptoms but everyone is different, maybe it's just a hit for you there goes the postponement of execution haha
Although I'd gladly accept vomiting if we could get a little miracle!
I did the Kruidvat test this morning
for EDD I did an Action test because I read that they are reliable, well why not?
    but both nothing

Yes, me too! But I'd rather keep it in moderation My girlfriend has been throwing up non-stop for 9 months. That's really my biggest nightmare
Yes, in principle it's still possible of course as long as I haven't had my period, but that's just waiting to see!
Was your ovulation maybe a bit later?

    Wow, 9 months non-stop... please don't say that :$
I can already see it happening that I'm on my way and then the worst of the worst happens, terrible hahaha
    Phew, no idea!
I think I felt ovulation (I keep track of everything in an app of what I feel/think and when I feel it, what my symptoms are etc) but whether this is really so I don't know
    Always exciting, the waiting!

I had to stop several times on the way with her in the car, yes
It was really 8-9 times a day for her
Then maybe it was a bit later, and you might be testing too early—hopefully!

OMG now hope that we don't have that
Also read somewhere that if you produce too few hormones, it takes longer for your positive test?

I don't know yet how I'd manage to work. I'd really stay paranoidly close to the toilet
And yes, indeed, HCG could still be too low. But HCG is also what causes the symptoms, so with such a long list I'd think it must be high enough anyway

Haha yes, exactly. I don’t think I can function normally anymore like this
Yeah, you’d think so, right.. but still nothing Do you think it’s just in my head?

    anyone else have advice?

I'm reading along with you... I'm in almost the exact same boat.
I stopped the pill last month, and my boyfriend and I started trying right away without waiting for my cycle to reset, hahaha. So I kept my cycle at the average of 28 days, my period was due on the 20th, so I'm now 4 days late. I've done a few tests but they're all still negative and no sign of my period.
My symptoms are: sore breasts/nipples, headache, stomach ache, stabbing pains in my groin, lower back pain, occasional nausea, sometimes feeling like I'm going to throw up, lots of discharge, and very rarely I'll think something smells really bad or different when it really isn't (my boyfriend looks at me like I'm crazy, hahaha).
Ordered more tests today, so I'll try again soon.

I’d wait for your cycle to kick in first, that way you’ll know when you ovulate and when you’re fertile! Better chances
Usually, after stopping the pill, your body needs to “un-pill” itself, so your cycle can be pretty messed up for the first few months. I had that too! Cycles can get longer (mine was 46 days the first month after stopping the pill), but over time they’ll become regular again, making it easier to figure out the right time!
But with your symptoms, taking a test definitely won’t hurt!
    I’m rooting for you!

I can smell all sorts of things and find it so stinky!
My boyfriend looks at me like I'm crazy
  14. NewGirl #15

    Hahaha yes.
I'm more like, why wait... our family is also very fertile and my sister didn't wait either after the pill, she was pregnant right away... I'm curious if that would be the case for me too...
  15. Snowflake #16

That can indeed happen with newgirl, but it's certainly not always the case
My girlfriend accidentally got pregnant, so she was very fertile, and her sister had been trying for a year...
My mom also got pregnant twice right away, and I didn't! Well, I'm still only on round 2, so I can't really say I'm taking long either, not that I got pregnant right away anyway
But I'll share that you'll just get pregnant right away!

  17. NewGirl #18

Haha, yeah, I’m also just assuming it might take a year, purely to avoid disappointment... but still, you secretly compare.
I understand it naturally and can only hope and keep testing as long as my period doesn’t come.

Unfortunately, I just found blood in my underwear Looks like it's not going to work out this time... On to the next round then...
