Tested negative on Monday, didn't get pregnant today.

Hi everyone,
I should have gotten my period today. Last Sunday night into Monday, I woke up because I was feeling really nauseous. I took a test then (probably too early) and it was negative. I still haven't gotten my period today... Can I test again in the morning to be sure?

    If you're pregnant, your hCG levels should double every 2-3 days, so test tomorrow morning or the next morning with first-morning urine. If it's still negative, wait 1-2 weeks; there could be other reasons why your period is late or hasn't started yet.

    Indeed, as Tooby said. And which brand are you testing with? One test is more sensitive than the other. I assume you've already tested again?

    Your hCG levels do double roughly every day, but they rise gradually, not suddenly each day. It varies from person to person. My pregnancy tests always got darker each day because modern tests are sensitive to even small increases. Good luck!
