Confusing ovulation test

Hi ladies,
I'm using ovulation tests for the first time this month for our first baby.
I have a fairly irregular cycle and usually ovulate quite late.
I started on cycle day 18 and on CD 20 I saw a faint line. But on CD 22 (yesterday) the line was much stronger; both were equally purple. I thought I had ovulated on CD 20, but I think it was more likely yesterday. I also had some lower abdominal pain and bloating. It could be my ovulation. I just took another test, but it's not as clear as yesterday's.
Here's a photo:

I found it confusing because on CD 21 there was hardly any line left. Did I do something wrong that day or something? What do you think, did I ovulate on CD 22?

Jane, did you test the same times?

The times are on the tests, Nancy.

I think you should consider yesterday's one as a positive ovulation test. That's the clearest one.
So your egg will come out between 24 and 48 hours after that test.

Oh oops... sorry.. I only looked at the dashes .
The one from yesterday is definitely positive. Your little one is on the way

Okay. I find it exciting. We definitely did some cleaning on days 16 and 20, 21, 22. So after those 48 hours following the positive day, no more cleaning is needed, right?

Hacking away is always an option, haha. But I'd definitely see yesterday's as positive. Maybe test a few more days just to be sure. Now let's hope it's a hit!

Today the line was indeed less visible. So I think I already got my positive on that one day. Now just waiting to see if the cleaning did the trick!

    Exciting, huh?
    Good luck!
