pregnant after bleeding

Hi everyone,
I'll introduce myself quickly. I'm Michelle and I'm 24 years old. My partner and I have a strong desire for children. That's also why I stopped taking the pill 7 months ago. We haven't been trying too hard, and we follow the motto: if it happens, it happens

My cycle is completely irregular, but I expected that. The first time it was 28 days, then 36, then 46, and now the last one was 72 days! Before I got my period in the 72-day cycle, I went to the doctor because I thought it was taking way too long, and also because the pregnancy test came back negative. The doctor reassured me by taking blood tests that my hormone levels were very normal. I should be in my cycle between ovulation and menstruation.

Indeed, a day later I started bleeding. I've never had heavy periods, and this wasn't the case either. Still, it felt different this time. I had terrible headaches and couldn't walk due to stomach pain. I've never had that before, and it was gone after a day. My period ended 4 days later, which was about 3 days ago. Since then, I've felt incredibly tired! I'm already tired in the morning and can fall asleep on the couch in the evening. I also have headaches and cramps (near my ovaries/uterus), and this morning I had acne and a bad taste in my mouth, like I drank yesterday.

What do you all think about this? Could I still be pregnant based on how I'm feeling now? Or is my body just confused? I don't want to test immediately since I've tested negative a few times and it's quite expensive. But it's not nice either because I've been feeling pretty rough since today
Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I've also gotten a ton of acne since yesterday and have had lower back pain for at least a week now

Hormonal changes can really mess with your body. My guess is that this is implantation bleeding. Your symptoms are also typical of period symptoms. Since your doctor already checked your blood, the chance of you being pregnant is small—you would’ve already tested positive by now, given the length of your cycle.

I guess it's also the hormones, though I don't think it's from stopping the pill. You've already been off it for 7 months. But to help get rid of your insecurity, you can buy pregnancy tests online quite cheaply. I always used those from Sensitest. They're really not expensive. And maybe you could start using ovulation tests since your cycles are quite irregular anyway. I understand you don't want to focus too much on it, but if you ever need to see your GP because you're not getting pregnant or your cycle stays irregular for so long, you'll already have done the groundwork and gained insight into your cycle. Good luck!
