Moms who stand alone

TrotseJongeMama
Hi everyone, I'm basically doing this alone.

Desteney, Sandjana, and Rajisja's dad lives in Suriname. He was with us in December and January, and we went to Suriname in May and June. In 5 days we're heading back to Suriname for another 5 days It's pretty tough.. and especially unpleasant.. Because a 'long-distance' relationship that's really far away isn't always easy.. The girls are mostly sad that their dad isn't always with us..
It's really challenging.. I was wondering if there are other moms who are single or in a similar situation to mine..
Love, Yosina

Oh my goodness, that's quite tough, yeah! Are you still together with the guy, or is he your ex now?

Anonymous, I'm still together with Jairo. We're heading back to Suriname in 5 days for another 5 days. He's coming to see us again in December, and in February he'll stay until the end of March

I'm pregnant with my first baby, but I'll have to do it all on my own! The baby's dad didn't agree with my decision and doesn't want anything to do with it. But I'm okay with it. At first, it was hard for me, but now I've made peace with it.
It seems really tough to sit with three girls who miss their dad so much, and of course, you miss him too.
My mom always raised four kids on her own, and it was definitely hard for her, but the love she had for us was/is greater than the difficulties.
I'm curious how I'll manage as a single mom, but I can't wait to hold my baby.

Sounds incredibly nice that you've found peace, mamavanwondertje. That's really a powerful stance. TrotseJongeMama, it sounds like you've got the planning down well. Good that you're reaching out for support.
