Romee

We think the name Romee is really beautiful, but we have a Romy in the family (not super close, we see each other 4 or 5 times a year and don’t live in the same village), but she is a niece. Would you go ahead with it, or does it seem too similar?

I always find a niece's name too close to our own, so I say no way.

Just do what you want. If you don't see each other that often, I wonder how often your kids will see each other... probably less in the end?

Just go with whatever you think is the prettiest name. I think you should look at it from your baby's perspective. Will they have any issues with it later on? Doesn't seem like it to me. If you don't see each other weekly, it can happen quite quickly in my opinion. And it's not the same name anyway. Usually, you respond to the ending sound of your name, which is different in each case!

    I'd just go for it!
And if not, maybe Esmee or Aimée?

I get the hesitation, but I'd just go for it.

    Super cute name!
I’d just go for it too. I totally get your hesitation since they sound similar at the start. But ultimately, they’re not the same name, so you won’t see them together that often. I’d just do it!

Just do it, I don't think it's too much for them to look alike. I do understand your hesitation though. My niece is named Lisa and her cousin is named Isa. No one has had any issues with it.

    Just do it!

I would do it, I find the pronunciation of both names sufficiently different!

We're going for it! It's truly THE name for us!
