Losing weight for my kids

It's not working, it's really frustrating me.
I'm 10 kilos overweight, and I really am too heavy. And I'd like to lose weight for my kids, as the title already says.
I've tried a lot, like going to the gym, but I don't really have the time for that. So I'll just train myself in the morning. That works, yes, 2 times, and then also 2 months not at all.
Just eat fewer sweets? That would help, but I can't keep myself in check. I really have to have sweets, I eat way too much. Sweets and unhealthy stuff.
Not buying any more sweets? That works for a day, but then I really need them again. And for the kids too.
Who has some good advice, please!

Greetings and thanks in advance very much.

    Hi,

Don't get me wrong, but the whole mistake lies in losing weight for your kids. You should do it for yourself and your own health. Only then will you get the right mindset to leave the sweets behind and not bring them into the house anymore, which is also a bonus for your kids.

    Good luck!

Snacking on veggies, like cherry tomatoes, cucumber sticks, slicing your own bell peppers, etc. Also keep an eye on the rest of your diet, not just sweets.

    Hey,
I lost 20 kg three years ago. Now I’ve gained back 8 kg over the past year because I let myself slip a bit.
In two months I’m stopping the pill and I’d really like to lose those 8 kg again. Whatever weight I lose now, I don’t want to have to lose extra after the pregnancy .
I’m currently on a protein diet where you’re not allowed to take in many carbs. No bread, potatoes or pasta. Lots of meat, vegetables and protein shakes.
    My day looks like this:
    - Breakfast = protein shake
    - 10 am snack = protein shake
    - Lunch = soup or salad
    - 4 pm snack = protein shake
    - Dinner = vegetables and meat or fish or eggs

On top of that, I’m going horse riding 1 or 2 times a week, plus swimming once a week. We also have a dog, so I walk 40 to 60 minutes a day since we live in an apartment and don’t have a garden.

To make it easier to stick to, I allow myself to eat normally one day a week (Saturday or Sunday). So then I do eat bread, potatoes or pasta.

By the way, there’s also a good website where you can find lots of substitute products with lots of protein and little sugar and carbs: www.bodyenfitshop.nl
GOLDEN TIP: Do it for yourself, not for others. When you start losing weight, you also need to be mentally ready and able to stick to it. I know it’s hard, but it’s worth it . It’s also important not to give up if you do slip up and have a less good day .
    Wishing you lots of success!
