Pregnant from taking antibiotics?

Good afternoon everyone,
My boyfriend and I were planning to try for our first baby within 6 months. But I think it might happen sooner.
I'll briefly share my story:
On June 30th was my last period. Much shorter and lighter than usual. But maybe I can blame that on the good weather?
That same week I got sick and had to take antibiotics for a week. Also that same week I had to start a new pack of pills. I forgot to take my pill for 2 days in a row (so in my first week).
Last week I had light bleeding for 4 days with some abdominal pain. You can't really call it bleeding. Just a pink tint when wiping after peeing, sometimes brownish.
Now I've had a dull abdominal pain for 3 days. Like there's a balloon in my lower belly and sometimes it pulls at the sides. My belly is also bloated and my intestines are constantly active!
Also, I'm getting nauseous from smells I can usually handle. I'm super tired, can sleep at any time of the day.
I should get my period in 5 days, but there's a little voice in my head saying it's a no-go. A feeling I can't describe.

Could this just be PMS or is something else going on?

What you suggest in the title: getting pregnant from antibiotics is of course not possible. To get pregnant, you really need sperm and an egg.
Anyway, forgetting the pill twice gives a higher chance of a possible pregnancy. Did the leaflet mention anything about the effect of antibiotics on contraception?

Otherwise, just take a test in a few days.

Of course, this isn't just because of the antibiotics, I'm not that naive . But I've always heard that taking antibiotics reduces the effectiveness of the pill. I asked my doctor if I should be careful about this, and she said no. On the other hand, I know a few people who got pregnant after a course of antibiotics because they didn't use extra contraception.

Antibiotics or not, you could still be pregnant, despite the pill.
I always heard that the effectiveness of the pill is reduced when you're taking antibiotics.. maybe you have a different type?
It could be period symptoms, it could be implantation, or it could be something else of course. You can take an early test, or wait until your period was due, then test.
If the pain gets worse, go to the doctor with it. Good luck!

Antibiotics do indeed reduce the effectiveness of the pill. So that means you could very well be pregnant. And you forgot it twice, which makes the chance even higher.

Most antibiotics no longer make the pill unreliable. Check the package insert to see if it applies to your specific medication. However, antibiotics can cause stomach and intestinal issues like diarrhea, which can affect the pill's effectiveness. Also, forgetting to take a few pills can have an impact. I'd suggest taking a test now since you don't know when or if you ovulated. If it's negative, repeat the test in a few days. No one here can tell you if you're pregnant. You only find out by testing.

You can't get pregnant in the first week of taking the pill! Not even if you forget to take two.

If you get pregnant while on the pill, it really doesn't matter which week it is, because the pill isn't working properly for you.
So week 1 or 4, it really doesn't matter.

Anonymous: No, duh. It makes the rest of the pill strip unreliable. Which means you could ovulate after that week. Do you ever read the package insert?
