Baby Names
(Half)brother/-sister for Mick and Jim
FloortjeGuest ·
Hi ladies and gentlemen,
I'm pregnant with our first child together, my partner's third. He has two boys: Mick and Jim.
We don't know if we're having a girl or a boy yet. I'm really torn about the name. Should we pick a name in the same style as Mick and Jim? Or can it be completely different?
We both like short names (like Mick and Jim), but personally, I was leaning towards other names.
The boys' mother is unfortunately not really around; she moved abroad two years ago. My partner thinks it's nice to be one family, so he wants to choose a name that fits with Mick and Jim. But I'm still unsure. I don't want the boys' mother to feel passed over in that way.
The names that came up as fitting for Mick and Jim:
Girl - Liv, Pip, Liz, Kris
Boy: Bink, Chris
Do you have any ideas that would satisfy all our wishes? Something that fits with Mick and Jim for my partner, but without that "jut/jul" vibe. Two syllables might be a good idea. But otherwise, I'm out of ideas.
Best, Floortje
