Boy's name

Hi everyone!
I'm new here and I'm already taking the plunge to ask for advice on choosing a name for our boy, due in October.

It's been a long process, but my husband and I have finally narrowed it down to 2 names. Unfortunately, we both have some reservations about each.
What do you think of:
Onno
Does this name also suit an adult man?
Fenn
This name looks very similar to the popular Finn. Will this name always be confused with it?
Plus, dad's name is almost the same, just one letter different. Isn't that too similar?
If you have any other suggestions, feel free to share. We like short names that aren't too common, but they don't have to be unique!

    I recently came across the name Nim. It's not very common and nice and short. Quite unique, though.

    I know someone called "Dim".

    I think Onno is more of a name for an older person, but you shouldn't think too much about that. When your son is born, it will be his name, and you won't compare it to anyone else's anymore.

    I actually think Fenn is more of a girl's name. But that's probably because I know a few girls with that name.

    I think Onno is a really good name for all ages. What do you think of Olle, Onne, Okke, Obbe, or Otto?

    I also think Fenn is very much a girl's name. Senn and Lenn are not.

    I think Onno sounds more like a name for an older person. But that doesn't mean it can't work. You'll get used to it naturally. Maybe Arno or Arne is a bit better?
    I really think Fenn is a girl's name. And indeed, as Rose said: Senn and Lenn are definitely boy names. And I think they're super cute too!

    I also think Fenn feels more like a girl's name, because of the association with Fenna. I think Onno works fine. I actually know two younger Onno's myself.
