Pregnant after miscarriage?

5 weeks ago (June 1st) I unfortunately had a miscarriage. After 12 days I no longer had any bleeding. 3 weeks later I had a negative test from Kruidvat and Action. On June 25th I ovulated. On June 28th I felt a strong stab on the lower right side; I suspect possible implantation. If I count 2 weeks after my ovulation, I could expect my period on July 9th. Now I did an early test with Predictor and a faint line is visible. On the other 2 tests from Action and Kruidvat nothing is visible. Is it possible that this is old hCG? Or is it true that if you have hCG in your body you can't ovulate?

That's really tough about your miscarriage. Did you use ovulation tests? Implantation three days after ovulation is quite fast. I suspect you might have actually ovulated around June 28th, since hCG builds up after implantation, so your test should already be clearly positive. I only ovulated after more than 4 weeks post-miscarriage. But it turned out I had cysts in both ovaries. Once those were gone, I ovulated. And got pregnant right away. I'd suggest keeping on testing, because maybe you're less far along in pregnancy than you think. Good luck!

That's right, I had a positive ovulation test on June 24th and 25th. But now I think I actually felt my ovulation on the 28th. Luckily, I still managed to get it done that day... so I'm shifting my NIPT to Thursday instead of tomorrow.. pff, so exciting!

@meissie, that sucks so much that you had a miscarriage But it's really nice that your cycle got going again relatively quickly! I had a D&C on April 11th myself, and didn't ovulate again until July 2nd.
Fingers crossed you get a positive test on Thursday!

@Clautjuh, how did you find out you had cysts? And did that have anything to do with the miscarriage? Even though I seem to have ovulated now (at least it looks like that), I still wonder if something was/wrong that it took so long..

The midwife noticed one when I had the ultrasound to check if I’d actually had a miscarriage. I was then referred to the gynecologist. They saw one on each ovary. I think that’s why my ovulation started a bit later. I had the miscarriage around November 23, and on my birthday (December 28) I got a super positive ovulation test.
    So, pregnant again.

@clautjuh, that's so great that you've become pregnant despite the cyst! That positive ovulation test on your birthday was surely a sign! Enjoy your pregnancy!

Yes, I think they were already gone by then. I felt them kick for a week before that, and the other one a few days later. Now they haven’t been seen on any other ultrasound anymore. Thanks!
