Dutch names

Hi, we don't know yet if we're having a girl or a boy but we're thinking of Dutch names. We've already thought of the girl's name but are unsure about the boy's name.. Do you think the name 'Jan' is still okay? We love it but isn't it too old-fashioned? Best, Ems

It's totally fine! I mean... I know an 85-year-old named Jan, but also someone in their late 20s named Jan, so I personally think the name Jan always stays "in"

Yes, I think Jan is just a nice, short but strong name

Well, that's very personal, of course, but I think Jan feels a bit old-fashioned to me.
But it could work if Julie likes it and likes hearing it.
For example, I personally think Tom is nicer.

Yeah, I think it's quite old-fashioned. But tastes differ, of course. You do hear it here and there. But it's just not my taste for this time. But if you think it's a nice name, I'd just go for it. It's your choice anyway .

I actually find it quite nice. You don't hear it much anymore among babies and young children.

No idea where those question marks came from haha..

Jan is definitely back in style. I already know quite a few Jan's up to 12 years old.
