Hi! We're looking for a name for our future daughter, who's part of a twin pair. Her twin brother will be called Diede. She already has two older brothers named Otis and Joas. Her middle names will be Floortje and Dominique. What do you think is the best/loveliest? Other names are also very welcome, of course.

    Mirre is my favorite!
    I wouldn't go with Dille, that's a plant/herb haha.

Wow, what a quick response, thank you!
We know that Dille is an herb, but we find the sound quite nice. Hence the doubt indeed.

I wouldn't personally do it because of possible bullying later on, but everyone has to decide for themselves haha.
Yeah, I happened to be looking when you posted it

Also, something else, but maybe I'm saying too much, but I know Diede as a girl's name, is it mostly a boy's name for you all?

What a coincidence! Those reactions are so lovely!

As far as I know, Diede is a unisex name. I know both a girl and a boy with this name. We originally had a different name in mind, but now it's becoming the middle name because a nephew also got that name. Diede is now named after his 'super grandpa' (great-grandfather) Diederik.

Ah okay! Didn't know that haha. And it's nice that it's still a naming after someone.

    Diede is nice!
Dille is very nice, but it might sound a bit like "jut" and "jul" with Diede. I think it works, but it's a bit confusing
    Lize, beautiful! Lovely sound!
Rinke sounds like a boy's name to me; I only know a boy with that name. With twins Diede and Rinke, I wouldn't know who's the boy and who's the girl
Margot, lovely! Such an old-fashioned name that's trendy again!
Fien, also nice! Cute and cool.
Mirre, very nice! I have a bit of a soft spot for it myself.
    Good luck with choosing!

I really like Dille, but not with Diede. I think Rinke is super cool. I prefer combining Diede and Rinke. I also think Lieze and Fien are beautiful names. Margot and Mirre aren't as appealing to me...

I think Rixt is quite nice with Diede. Rinke, not really.

Mirre is actually also a plant genus, but I don't think that's a reason not to use it as a name. (Especially not when butterflies, foxes, sun, sea are apparently used as names, so Mirre seems pretty normal by comparison.)

I also think Margot and Diede are nice. And Lize is nice too.

Congratulations, lovely to have twins! I think Diede as a namesake for Diederik is really nice!

Dille - lovely name but not in combination with Diede (also not practical with the same prefix on documents, and the letters of the 2nd and 3rd names might differ, right?)
Margot - I don't find it hip at all, in my head it's still a bit old-fashioned.
Rinke - also not so nice (I find Imke lovely, or Linte or Jinthe)
Lize - fine, but a bit less special than the other names of your boys. And like Diede, first ie and then è sound
    I find Fien very cute!
Mirre - a very lovely name, also beautiful in combination with Diede (with Fien I would personally find the ie that matches with Diede a downside). I'd go for Mirre from your list!

    Good luck

    Diede and Fien are born!
    Their full names are:
    Diederik 'Diede' Samuel Frank.
    Fien Floortje Dominique.
    Born on July 6, 2018.

We are mega mega proud. Thank you for all the help.

Love, Anne, Sebas, Otis, Joas, Diede and Fien
