We really want a baby, and the date for stopping the pill is already set.
In September, I missed my pill twice, never more than 12 hours late..
I still got my period then, although I didn't have any symptoms at all, and if it were different, I'd really have complaints like headaches or back pain.
Now I've been feeling very tired for a few days, bloated, can't concentrate well, and always want to eat but then feel vaguely nauseous, but also nauseous from hunger..
Could I be pregnant? Theoretically not, since I'm on a combined pill and it's less harmful if you take them within 12 hours.. But now I'm seriously doubting it because of what my body is telling me..
Or do I have these symptoms because I want to be pregnant so badly and we're delaying for certain reasons. Maybe it's a sign to start taking folic acid and stop the pill?

I don't know anymore..

Hey, taking folic acid when you suspect you might be pregnant is always a good idea.
You could indeed be pregnant, but I don't think so. Maybe it's your body telling you that now is a good time haha :-)

    Thanks for the quick reply.
I forgot to mention that I can have huge mood swings.
Example: yesterday afternoon I couldn't get along with myself, I was crying for no reason, and last night, suddenly, I was walking around here cheerful again.. My husband naturally doesn't understand any of this I don't either, but well, female hormones, right

Maybe I'll plan another chat with my husband tonight to move the plans up a bit..

Good that you took a test. Then you know for sure. And it's a shame you're not pregnant. I can totally understand those mixed feelings, especially if you had some alcohol. As for not taking folic acid, I can only say that it won't cause any harm. I didn't know I was pregnant either. I wasn't thinking about it at all back then. It just came out of nowhere Totally unplanned, but so wanted!!!

Due to various unpleasant circumstances, my body reacted differently than it would under normal conditions. When I found out I was pregnant, I was already about 8 weeks along. The midwife said it was wise to start taking folic acid as soon as possible. So I did. I can't remember if I drank alcohol during the time I didn't know, but I did smoke, and I stopped right after the test.

Well, what to say to your family when you decline an aperitif. Hmm, just say you're not in the mood, that you have some stomach issues, that you're not feeling well, that you have a headache and just took paracetamol. Oh, I think you'll come up with something yourself, haha. By then it'll just come to you naturally. And yeah, by then you can join the forum so you can talk about it here with people, haha.

    Greetings,
    Anne

I love getting quick replies here
As for my plans: I'm thinking of stopping the pill now after my last pack and going off it. Then start taking folic acid around November and try to conceive around January.
I want to see my cycles first. Before I took the pill, they were 35 days long.. Hope they'll be a bit shorter now, we'll see
My husband is super excited about the early plans

    Hi Guest,
I’d start taking folic acid now so you’ll get used to it and it’ll only be beneficial when you actually start trying.
I’ve been taking folic acid since January and I’m now 9 weeks pregnant, and I’m glad I started then, but it’s different for everyone, of course.
    Good luck!

I read that you had taken a test. But did you wait long enough for the test so that you're not pregnant after all? It could very well be that way..

I also got pregnant by accident in the first one while I had been on the pill for years. I smoked a pack a day and didn't take folic acid. I found out I was 8 weeks pregnant. Immediately stopped smoking and started taking pregnancy vitamins. My daughter was beautifully average at birth. While I myself am very slender.. So even if you are pregnant.. It will surely turn out fine. If you're not pregnant, good luck with trying..

When you're hoping or afraid to get pregnant, it feels like every little ache and discomfort you feel might be a sign of pregnancy, right? Start taking folic acid, stop the pill (and give your body some time to adjust after stopping), and then start preparing for a baby when you're both ready. Good luck!
