Can you still be pregnant after a negative urine test?

Could it be that I'm still pregnant even though the urine test was negative this afternoon?
The doctor wanted to do a blood test tonight to check if I was pregnant... Is this still possible or not?
I do feel like something's off in my body, or am I just imagining it?

    Sure! If your hCG is still too low for a test, it might already show up in the blood.

    But... it could also be that the test is correct and you're not pregnant, and the blood test will also show that you're not pregnant.
    But at least then you'll have clarity.

    Yeah, it's definitely a wait-and-see situation, but it's still exciting... I was hoping the GP would say 'no, you're not pregnant, no need for a blood test.' Just to avoid all the stress. That would be nice, of course!
    Do you think they could already tell from a blood test if it's very early on?

    Yeah, that's true. If hCG levels are low, the test might not pick it up. With a blood test, you can see earlier if it's rising. It needs to be at least 25 to confirm pregnancy. I had an hCG level of 29 on the day of my period, but still got a positive (very faint) result on an Action test.
