feel small

For me, it was all a bit more noticeable earlier than for you. I felt quite a bit in my belly from week 16 onwards. My partner feels it from around week 19. But sometimes he thinks that's not the baby, but my heartbeat. Meanwhile, I'm 32 weeks pregnant and the baby is clearly noticeable to both him and me.

I should also say that you didn't feel much on the front of my belly, but that's where the placenta was. You felt more on the sides

But don't worry about it further. Feeling the baby is different in every pregnancy. Both at the hospital and my midwife said a week ago that the baby had plenty of room to move, which is why you don't feel everything

Hi Sanne,

I hear from more people that they feel it very late or very softly, so the partner doesn't feel it either. I felt it at 17 weeks and my boyfriend at 20. Since it's nice to feel the baby, I always think this is normal... Sometimes he kicks so hard it actually hurts, you have to imagine that, and I still have a long way to go...

Gradually, it will definitely become more noticeable and there will often be a rhythm too.

I was pretty early to feel it, I was 17 weeks when I first felt my little one.
But it took a while for my husband to feel her too,
until she suddenly hiccuped, then you know for sure she’s kicking regularly, and then my husband felt it really well!!
Don’t worry, soon you’ll see your whole belly move and wiggle!
(This week I lay on my side with my bare belly and I saw a whole bump, a little foot! from my belly button to my side and back moving!!!)
When I lie against my husband, he even feels them move against his back or belly!!

No need to worry, it’ll definitely happen!!

I'm at 15.5 weeks now and I can feel kicking, and the dad felt it around 19 weeks.
Now it feels like the little one is playing football or ballet here, and turning is also easy to feel. It's indeed different for everyone and it'll come naturally.
