Hello everyone
I want to share my heart for a while. My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for a long time.
After trying for several years naturally without success, we feared something was wrong.
Unfortunately, after many tests, it turned out that my husband's sperm count was low and there were few good ones.
This was obviously a blow to both my husband and me, since we've wanted a family for so long.
Then came the difficult step of consulting a fertility clinic. We have been under treatment ourselves since 2012 at the AZ in Brugge.
After 4 attempts with ICSI, it became clear that it was no longer an option to continue trying to get pregnant this way.
The doctor also said he preferred to opt for working with a donor via my natural cycle and with Clomid 50 mg and of course a Pregnyl injection.
The reason the doctor chose a donor was that my husband had to provide a new sample and it turned out to be really bad There were no sperm left.

It was a very heavy period for us as a couple. My husband felt like he wasn't a "real man" anymore, couldn't give me what I wanted. In short, it all turned out negatively, as he said.
In the end, we decided together to work with a psychologist so we could both express our feelings about the fact that the doctor said donor...
After many conversations, we started this year: On June 8, 2018, I had my insemination with donor sperm.
Now we are day 7 after the insemination and I'm a bit scared.... I don't feel much, just pressure in my lower abdomen, less sleep, and more urination, but that's it.
Last year, with the last ICSI treatment, I got pregnant and after a week I already noticed things: I was very dizzy, urinated more, and slept a lot.
But unfortunately, this ended in a miscarriage.
And now with the IUI treatment, I don't know if it's normal that I don't really feel anything yet, except for a crampy feeling in my lower abdomen, exactly like period pain.
I haven't had any bleeding since the insemination, and I have so many questions...
And no matter how much I search online, my questions remain unanswered. Maybe someone here has gone through all this and recognizes my feelings.
And is there someone who can inform me more about their experience regarding IUI treatment
It feels good to be able to share my story.
Love, Angeltje
