Fear of being pregnant

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum. I'm on the pill, taking it properly every day. I'm 24, my boyfriend is 23, and we're getting a registered partnership in November Kids aren't in the picture (yet?).

But for about two weeks now, our dog has been acting weird. He keeps lying/sitting next to me and barks/growls out of nowhere at the window. It's almost like he's trying to protect me. On top of that, I've had severe headaches. I've also been nauseous and had stomach pain. At first I thought it was just me being sick (I have Crohn's disease), but my blood and stool tests came back normal. Besides all this, I'm also getting really tired. If I go to bed at 10 for school, I wake up at 7:15 and I'm already tired by 8 pm. Same on weekends. I go to bed between 10 and 11, but I'm tired again around 8. According to my boyfriend, my breasts are more sensitive, which is sometimes true, but not always. Also, lately I've suddenly had huge food cravings where I eat way more than usual. But as far as I know, I haven't had diarrhea or vomiting.

So now I have to take the pill for another week, then it's my break week, and we'll see. But what do you all think?

I don’t think I can determine whether you’re pregnant based on your symptoms. Your symptoms might resemble pregnancy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you are. The pill is also 99% effective when taken correctly every time. It’s possible that you were sick, had sex, and that made the pill less reliable. My advice is to take a pregnancy test—that’s the only way to know for sure. Good luck!

I’d also just test. You only get pregnancy symptoms once your body starts producing hCG, so a test could already be positive by then. If not, repeat it after a few days.
But the chance of being pregnant is naturally small if you’ve been using the pill correctly.
