Purple evaporation line?

TriangelGuest ·
Hi everyone,
I came across something weird. Before I run to the store to buy a new test, I’d love to hear if anyone else has experienced a purple evaporation line.
A week ago I tested with a Predictor. Nothing to see, so I put the test away. Then, a few days later, I lost some blood. That’s fine, it happens.
But yesterday I noticed the test lying there with a very unusual evaporation line?
It starts off seriously purple. Who else has had this and were you pregnant or not? An evaporation line shouldn’t have any color, right? After rinsing it with water, the line still remains.
Thanks in advance.

@triangel how long did it take for the line to show up?
How sure are you about your ovulation?

I put the test aside after about 3 minutes and didn't look at it again... this test is from last week.
Do you think the test could have been affected by your ovulation?

I don't know, that's why I'm asking you. How sure are you about your ovulation? And to find out for sure, take a new test and then take a photo within the reading time!!!!

I'm not sure about that. For now, we're not doing ovulation tests/temperature tracking, etc.

This is really a drying-out strip, I'm afraid. I believe this is actually a thing with Predictor, you hear/read it more often.. For safety's sake, you could do a new one..

And a pregnancy test doesn't respond to ovulation

The ovulation tests from Kruidvat that you can mark with crosses do indeed respond to ovulation. I don't know if the Predictor ones can do that too.
I took one of those KV tests 5 weeks ago, and it was very faintly positive on the day of my ovulation.

Did the test get wet? Did it take longer to dry?
