Ovulation test question

Hi everyone,

I've been reading along on this forum for a while and hope you guys can help me out a bit..

In February I stopped the pill. My boyfriend and I decided to first take a few months off the pill and go for it starting this month! I wasn't planning on using ovulation tests right away, but I was quite curious if I'd get more insight into my fertile days this way, so I ended up ordering a few anyway.

Since stopping the pill, I've had a regular 28-day cycle every time until last month. Then my period started after 32 days. Since I ordered the ovulation tests late, I took my first test last Monday (day 14 of my cycle). I got a clearly visible test line, but it was a bit lighter than the control line. On Tuesday (day 15) there was another line, but even lighter than on Monday. On Wednesday (day 16) the test line was completely white. And today (day 17) I have a clear line again, just like last Monday (very slightly lighter than the control line).

Now I'm wondering if I've most likely already ovulated, or if it's still possible that I will ovulate despite the white test line yesterday.

Everything is still quite new to me, so I hope you can help me out a bit

Love, Isa

    Hi Isa,
That often indicates pregnancy. I had that too, and it turned out I was already pregnant.

Thanks for your reply, Maartje. It would be really fast, but you never know, right?
This is my test from today. Would you consider this positive?

    Hi Isa,

The test in the photo is negative. With these test strips, I always used to get a line, both before and after ovulation. They only became really faint 1 or 2 days before my period, and on the day of ovulation they were always very dark.

Thanks, Wendela! So it's possible that my ovulation already happened before the 14th, but it could also still be coming up?

Right, both are possible. I’d just keep testing for a few more days. If they get lighter, I’d assume you hit your peak on day 13, which is pretty neat for a 28-day cycle.

I think I have a photo on my profile from about two months ago. You can really see my tests getting darker, leading up to a peak. I considered the last two tests positive back then.
