Boy's name Jones or Stan
It's probably the hormones, but I'm suddenly having doubts!
I'm now 33 weeks pregnant and from the start of the pregnancy, we had the name Jones in mind for a boy. At 20 weeks, we found out we were having a boy, and the name stayed at the top of the list. We said from the beginning that we'd keep all options open, but we've already gotten so used to calling him Jones that the name is even on the proof of the birth announcement.
Yesterday, the name Stan suddenly popped into my head. Totally different, but so lovely! My partner also thinks it's a nice name, but now I'm not sure what we should do. Do we stick with Jones, which we had in mind from the start, or do we suddenly go for Stan pretty much last minute?
What do you all think? And which name do you think is overall nicer? Both fit equally well with the last name, so that's not something we need to consider.

Jones is an English surname (Janssen, or Jans' son). I don't think it looks great as a first name, and I think a lot of people will give it a weird look.
Go for Stan! -

Opinions differ, of course. But I really don't like the name Jones. I think Stan is much nicer! But above all, do what you want yourself, of course!!

I think Stan is much nicer
and flows better
well if you both like it, I’d just go with Stan
I’d had the name Remi for a long time
for our boy but suddenly it didn’t feel right anymore because he was kicking so hard in my belly and was so wild
that I didn’t think Remi fit him anymore
and we changed the name -

I also think Stan is much nicer. I find Jones really falls into the brand/band/last-name category. Jack Jones comes to mind immediately when I hear it. But anyway, I also think Morris (Morrison), Jackson, etc. are terrible. To each their own. -

If you don't figure it out beforehand, you can always choose at birth what suits best. I couldn't decide either until I suddenly came across another nice name. -
