Rhyming last name... or maybe not?

With (according to the ideal schedule) a bit more than 8 weeks to go, we finally think we've found the name for our second son. Butrrr... the first name rhymes with the last name. I personally don't really see it as a problem, but I'm wondering what the "annoyance factor" would be.

The name we have in mind is Thijs (which, coincidentally, has the same meaning as his brother's name: "gift from God". We've pretty much decided that this is THE name. The only doubt is the rhyme with our last name (de W.ij.s). He'll still get two extra middle names, so there will be plenty of other sounds between the nickname and the last name in his full name, but I can imagine that the short version will mainly be used at school. Do you think this could be awkward?

With the other name we also like (Joris), both sons would share the same (first) initial; also not ideal. Such a tricky dilemma...

I'd still go with Joris, but then make sure there are multiple first names so both kids have different initials.

Thijs would absolutely not do that. I really find rhyming names awful.
Is your last name maybe an option?
