How do you pronounce Maite? I don't think Axelle is that great because it's the female version of Axel (which I find cool for a boy, but that's beside the point

Maithe´ !! Always thought it was a beautiful name,
I don’t see the problem with the pronunciation either,
just say it as it’s written, with the stress on the E.. -

Maïte... my friend's daughter is also called that, and she thinks it's such a lovely name!! It also sounds a bit more exotic... -

Personally, I'd go for Axelle. It's a really nice name. Not for Maite, though—I personally think it sounds a thousand times less beautiful than Axelle. Good luck with your choice! -

I think both are lovely names... but if I had to choose, it would still be Maité, but without the dot on the i. I just think Maité looks better, but you have to know what feels right for you, right!
