Positive ovulation test 1 week before expected period

Hey girls,
I'm now in my 4th cycle and my first with ovulation tests. My cycle is regular, 24 or 25 days. So far, all my ovulation tests have been negative. I started testing from day 8 to day 15, nothing. Today I noticed raw egg white mucus, so I tested anyway.
And suddenly the ovulation test is super positive! I'm now 7 days before my expected period.
What should I make of this? What does it mean? Did I have a longer cycle this time or something?
