I read that you used an ovulation test. Don't be fooled by it; this isn't a valid result for whether you're pregnant or not. I had read that too, and my ovulation test was also positive and stayed positive for a while, but in the end, I wasn't pregnant. Have you taken a pregnancy test yet? If not, I'd wait until you've done that so you can be 101% sure you're pregnant. Just a tip. Here's to a positive test! Cheering you on
I’d also do a real pregnancy test, given those ovulation tests. They can still fool you even if you’re pregnant—so if you are, the pregnancy test should definitely be positive now! Xx
Oh, how weird, Nanda! I did hear that ovulation tests stay positive when you're pregnant. Do you actually get two thick lines then? Otherwise, I think they don't count as positive... Which pregnancy test are you using? And how long does it take for those to show up?
Yes, 2 thick lines for sure. I just did another one and it seems a bit less intense than the other one. I also did one the day before yesterday and that one was quite intense. Pregnancy test from the Action and Kruidvat.
A couple of positive ovulation tests can indicate pregnancy, but that doesn't have to be the case. An ovulation test is meant to measure your fertile days peak, and it's not suitable as a pregnancy test. A fading line would mean your period is coming. I still hope your period doesn't show up and that you'll soon have a strong positive pregnancy test in your hand. A faint pregnancy test line can be due to many things: your ovulation, meaning implantation happened later than your own calculation, or your hCG hormone levels aren't optimal yet. This varies from woman to woman and depends on the timing of the test. I hope this information helps you, and I think it's good to be realistic about ovulation tests. If your pregnancy tests don't turn positive, but your period is late, maybe pay your midwife a visit for a blood test? Wishing you all the best and lots of love!
I have the same question. My period was due on September 29th. This morning I took two tests, and both are positive!? Is it possible to get a positive result this early?
