Phophia?

We've set our hearts on the girl's name Phophia or Phophie.
It's a Greek name but totally unknown in the Netherlands, unlike the similar Sophia and Sophie. You pronounce it exactly the same, just with an f instead of an s.
What do you think of Phophia? And have you ever heard it before?

Never heard of it! I guess it's tricky to spell for a kid.. I always have to spell my own name too, can be annoying sometimes. Personally, I prefer more Dutch, not too out-of-the-ordinary names, so I wouldn't choose it myself

My first thought was: hey, she misspelled 'fobia'.
Phobia is the English word for phobia (fear). I think the name Phophia looks too much like it.

I also read "phobia" the first time.
I don't know the name, I find it not very easy to pronounce with two f's.
I find the common Sophie nicer.

    No sorry, not my taste

No, sorry, not my taste either.
I didn't even know how to pronounce it at first. Seems tough for your kid later on, having to spell her name every time and explain how to pronounce it.

Not meant badly, but it sounds like someone with a speech impediment / lisping is trying to say Sofia..

I also think Phophia sounds a bit like phobia, but Phophie is really beautiful. A lovely alternative to Sophie!

I don't think it sounds nice....
