Baby Names
English girls' name
CaroGuest ·
Hey everyone,
I'm having a daughter with my Canadian boyfriend, who has a Colombian background. We live together in Denmark. This makes choosing a name quite tricky. We want a name that my Dutch family can pronounce easily, but also his Canadian/Colombian family. Plus, our girl needs a name that Danes can easily say too. So it ends up being an English name, logically. But that's exactly the problem—I often don't find those names very appealing
Do you have any ideas?
I generally don't like names with a 'y' (sorry). But that doesn't mean everything, because our daughter will be named after her great-grandmother, and her second name will therefore be Dorothy.
We love classic names, not too long and not too short. We usually find two syllables the most beautiful. Names that have passed by include Emily (also with a 'y', I know haha), Kate, Hannah, Megan, Hazel, Lauren, and June.
We're stuck, so help is welcome! Thanks!
