Pregnant?

zwanger ????
Hi, I took a pregnancy test this morning, but it's not really clear if it's positive or negative. It's not very clear—there's a clear line and then a faint line above it? Could someone tell me what it means and what I should do? Thanks for the advice.

Can you add a photo of the test?
  2. Moedertjuh #3

Without a photo it's pretty tricky... I don't even know which test you took?

    The test us from Kruidvat

If it's about the test on your profile picture, I wouldn't consider it positive. There should be a cross, but on your test, it looks like there's only half a vertical line instead of a full one.

I've heard a lot of good things about the Kruidvat 2-for-5 euro tests; I'd try those.

I wasn't sure and wanted to ask here.
And are those tests also available at Kruidvat?
    But thanks anyway.

I'm pretty sure it's accurate, but I'll try it one more time just to be sure.

I’d also feel unsure about such a test. Yes, even at Kruidvat.
    Good luck!

This one is indeed not complete, and I'd definitely repeat it with another test. I only see a half-line... so it could literally go either way. Good luck!

    Hey Clautjuh,
I have the exact same question and the same test...
    See below.
I'm not sure if they're reliable since I had a false positive with this test in the past.
Have you done any other tests in the meantime?
  10. Moedertjuh #11

This one looks pretty positive, Hanne. But you'll only know for sure when the lines get darker. I'm not a big fan of these tests, but I can clearly see a line
    Congratulations, take it easy!

    Hey,
I’m also not a fan of these tests at all! I still had one lying around from a few months ago and since it’s not my favorite, there was one left over...
Because I’ve been having some “weird” symptoms and have already dreamed about a positive test twice, I just threw one in.
I hope I can restrain myself and wait until Monday morning to do one of the 2-for-5 Kruidvat tests or an early predictor.
    Thanks for the response :-))!

I've been told by someone and by my partner that the Clearblue 2v5s have been unreliable lately. They often give false positive results... I've used those too in the past few days and they're positive and getting darker, but they often turn out to be false positives. I've also used the ones from Action, and those are also getting darker nicely. So maybe Action is an option??
  13. Hwensje #14

Oh, I'm reading about rising tests, congratulations :-)!!
Ouch, good thing I know this now. Because I (almost) everywhere read that everyone is a fan of the 2v5 and these at me in all those months I hoped to be pregnant never were false positive I thought I'd try this one again :-).
I myself have never had a false result with it while I have been misled before with Kruidvat early and pregnancy test from Sensitest... Action I would also like to try but then I'll have to run to the store first!
Nice that you can share your mixed feelings here too :-).
  14. Moedertjuh #15

I used the ones from Sensitest. Really cheap and never had a false positive. Also used Predictor. Those are good too, just a bit more expensive.

    Thank you, Hanne

Yeah, I always thought those stones were good for the kv 2v5, and they were, but apparently not so much lately. I assume the midwife wouldn't just say that to me. Although I did get nice tests with the kv 2v5 ones, I'd recommend the ones from Action. For example, today I had a super strong positive test from Action while the one from Kruidvat barely showed up compared to yesterday. I'll add a few photos.

I'm crossing my fingers for you that you'll have a beautiful positive test in your hands soon hihi!

    @BB
Top to let me know about this because I didn’t know at all :-)!!
Oh my, Action tests will be it then clearly ;-). I hope to get some positive results soon too!
May I ask if these tests were before your expected period or after?
Not sure when it’s best to test with Action?
Enjoy your pregnancy (hopefully without too many complaints :-))
    Greetings!

My expected period was on May 10th! So the top tests. I tested very faint positive 2 days before my expected period. These are the early tests from Action! I also did a regular one from Action this morning and it's a bit lighter than the early one today, which makes sense since those need more hCG.

I actually have almost no symptoms, which sometimes makes me unsure because I had all sorts of things in my previous pregnancy, but every pregnancy is different. Thank you, girls.

And I hope to see a positive test from you here soon
  18. ---- #19

This is the regular test from Action today, a bit lighter than that Early test.
  19. Hwensje #20

They're all nice and dark lines :-). I normally expect my period on Tuesday, so I'm trying to hold off on testing until Monday morning. I fear that holding out until Tuesday will be a utopia, since I'm so incredibly impatient :-).

Your message does put me at ease. Every month I'd have "symptoms" and thought it was time, but it turned out to be all in my head... This time, though, I did have some period-like pain on Thursday and Friday and thought my period might be coming really early... So far, nothing to see yet. A little lower back pain, but that could also be linked to an impending period. No sore breasts or anything like that for now.

I do have a lot of gurgling intestines this night and now, but that's about it for now..

So really no obvious symptoms, which makes me wonder if it really is this time...

My patience is being tested once again ;-) Meanwhile, I'm trying not to hope too much..
