Bowie?

What do you all honestly think of Bowie for a boy? Sometimes I'm completely convinced, and other times I have my doubts. Is that normal when choosing a name?

I think it's pretty brave for a kid, but I'm not sure if I can picture that with an adult man. I think whether it's "normal" to sometimes doubt and then not doubt anymore varies from person to person.

I don't really feel like the name is my thing, but a name should really resonate with you both. If you're having doubts, it's probably not quite your thing.

I don't find the name that beautiful. But it's obviously your choice. If you're hesitating too much, maybe it's better to go for another name.

    Bowie.. super cool!!

I immediately think of David Bowie. Do you think you're going for that? It could be cool, but I'm more leaning towards a last name, so I wouldn't do it myself.

But aside from "David Bowie," it's pretty pest-proof. I think that's really important.

I find Bowie a bit tacky.

I don't find it beautiful, unless you're a fan of David Bowie.

    Doesn't suit an adult guy.

    I think it's nicer for a girl.

I totally get your dilemma.. pretty bold, but that's exactly what makes it fun!

I feel the same way about the name Raf. This boy's name has been at the top of my list for a long time.
I really like Raf as an abbreviation of Rafael. I find Rafael as a nickname a bit too long/ordinary, but I'm afraid that Raf might sound more like a dog's name. It might sound somewhat commanding. Also, my husband is named Rob. Someone already mentioned DeRob and DeRaf.
    What would you do?
