I'm not really sure when my period is due because I had an early miscarriage before. But since I had some signs, I did an early test from Action on Wednesday. It was very faint positive. That evening I did two more tests: negative. The next morning with first morning urine: again negative. But in the afternoon it was positive again and a bit darker than the day before. Days after that it was negative again, so I just let it be. Sunday morning, with first morning urine, positive! And not an early test, but a regular one. And no faint line anymore, but a real, clear line! I was over the moon, yeaah, a Christmas baby on the way! But today the tests are white again.... And I've done 4 already, early and regular!

It can't have anything to do with my last miscarriage, I tested negative before I actually started bleeding... And that was exactly 4 weeks ago today.

Has anyone experienced something like this? I find it so confusing and it's really getting to me!

Should I be patient a bit longer, if my cycle is regular my period is due tomorrow? Or should I forget about it and I just had 3 evaporation lines/false positives?

I do have quite a few symptoms, but your body can play tricks on you, right...

    How strange!
    I think the test in the photo is really positive....
    Maybe try a digital one in a few days?

    Hi Linda, I don't think anyone here can really help you with that. You'd be better off calling your GP. In the Netherlands, they're not quick to do blood tests, but if you push a bit, you'll at least get some peace of mind. Good luck!

    Oh, that's so confusing! That it can sometimes turn negative again after a very faint line might be because your urine is less concentrated, but that's still weird. Yeah, unfortunately, you can only wait now. I still think the test in the photo looks pretty positive. So you do have hCG in your blood. Just keep testing or wait to see if you get your period. Good luck! I hope it works out for you.

    Linda, I've heard that the amount of hCG in your urine can still fluctuate in the first few days! The test you added is really positive. I think it's best to test again in the morning in 2 days, then you'll know if it's rising properly. I hope for the best!

    Hey! So far it's still fluctuating... It's really weird. Monday first negative, then 2 light positives, Tuesday a clear positive, Wednesday negative again... Thursday morning I called the midwife, who said: As long as you don't get your period, you're simply pregnant.
    Didn't test Thursday and Friday, Saturday negative.
    I need to test again later this week... I also had a bladder infection, which could also be related (cloudy urine).

    Already a week late and very nauseous... But that uncertainty is killing me. I'll let you know when I have a definite result!

    It’s possible that your pregnancy tests are showing negative because of too much protein in your urine due to a bladder infection. Also, you usually have to pee more often, which can make a test come up negative. Are you being treated for the bladder infection? Otherwise, it should be resolved after a course of antibiotics. I understand that this uncertainty isn’t nice! I hope everything is okay and that you’re pregnant.

    I had blood drawn. HCG less than 1, so not pregnant.
    The midwife says it's so low that I couldn't even have been pregnant. Those positive pregnancy tests (8 in 2 weeks!) and being 10 days late, she can't explain that. (Last week she said: a line is a line, you're definitely pregnant.......)
    If I had been pregnant after all, it's no longer growing and my body will naturally shed it. She didn't think it was necessary for me to come in.

    I have an appointment with the gynecologist at the hospital next week for another reason, so I'll just go there and mention this too.

    What a mindfuck. I'm completely drained, not just because I'm not pregnant, but the whole rollercoaster again and all the uncertainty.
    And now still no explanation.

    I think you did have an implantation bleed, but it indeed went wrong shortly after. Don't get discouraged though! I understand this is a huge setback and a disappointment. But I also got pregnant right after my early miscarriage in November.

    Got my period yesterday on day 40 of my cycle.

    I'm trying not to lose hope, but it's my 4th miscarriage in a year (if I was even pregnant this time), so I'm trying to keep it all a bit in perspective. Otherwise, it would really break me!

    That's a lot to process, indeed. Take your time. Wishing you lots of strength, and definitely take a break from it so you can approach it with a positive mindset again.

    I went to the OB-GYN today. I was indeed pregnant, but I had a very early miscarriage.
    It's unpleasant, but it's nice to know I'm not going crazy haha, my intuition was right!

    Hey Linda, I read that you also had varying results with the Action tests? Were those the early tests or the regular ones? I just tested with the early one, but this morning the Kruidvat test was negative..

    The early one and the regular one! Indeed, it had a similar faint line, and it didn't appear right away; usually it took 5 to 10 minutes. If I were you, I'd wait a bit longer until NOD and then test again. For now, I'd cautiously say congratulations!

    Yesterday afternoon I tested myself and saw a faint line... (like in the photo). This morning I did it again but it stayed white. This afternoon I did it again and now there's a faint line again... what do you guys think???

    Hi ladies, I took a pregnancy test on Monday afternoon and it was positive with a very faint line. But the following days it was completely blank, and that was with first morning urine
