Is that a boy's or a girl's name?
I think Eloïse is beautiful for a girl and know Eloi for a boy, pronounced like Ielooi. But Eloï, so Ee-loo-ie, in French. Can that work too?

Yes, Eloi exists as a boy's name and Eloï as a girl's name.
I don't personally know the boy's name, but for the girl's name you pronounce it as , so indeed Eloïse without the 'se'.

In the "how do you pronounce it as" section, I had written 'eeloowie', but since it was in parentheses, it apparently wasn't visible. But that's how you pronounce Eloï as a girl's name. -

I find it funny that the name looks so short and smooth, while when you say it out loud it's actually so beautiful and elegant! That contrast makes the name special.
