Classic boy's name, hmm, difficult!

Hi!
We're torn between the names Rutger, Maxim, Maurits, or Floris! My partner likes Rutger the most, and I think I like it the least. Which name do you all like the best? Do you have any other nice ideas? A name with a J sounds nice too, but I think Julian is too soft and Joas is too hip.

And did you always find a real "wow" name for your kids, or just pick one from your lists? Because there isn't really a name that stands out yet where I immediately think, yes, that's the one! Keep doubting!

    I find Rutger a bit outdated and Maurits a bit crap. I like Maxim the best. Other ideas: Jonathan, Joachim, Jonas, Justus, Joël, Jasper, Arthur, Benjamin, Samuel, Manuel, Midas, Merlijn, Simeon, Valentijn, Olivier, Steven, Ruben, Alex(ander), Emile, Olaf, Demian, Nathan, Laurens, Roelof, Casper, Isaak, Boris, David, Tobias, Elliot, Pepijn, Victor, Felix, Philip, Otto, (Se)Bastiaan.

    With the name we want for our daughter, I was the only one who had a kind of warm feeling in my stomach and suddenly couldn't care less about what other people would think, which I always had in the back of my mind with other names. So I had a special feeling about it, but that can be different for everyone, of course.

    Of your list, I like Maxim the most and then Floris. Rutger and Maurits I find truly awful, sorry.
    Other suggestions:
    Jules, Jens, Jelte, Juliën, Julius, Jurre, Aaron, Abel, Beau, Chris, Lucas, Marnix, Noud, Noël, Olivier, Otis, Tristan, Yorick, Xavi

    No "wow" name here, but a name that doesn't stand out too much and sounds tough. I've searched a lot on Babybytes, any ideas?

    I think Julian is a really beautiful name, I don't find the other names beautiful at all.

    Maxim & Floris, that sounds super fun together!
    We really had a wow feeling. But if it had been a girl, it would’ve been a different story. Then we’d have picked from the list...

    My son's name is Maurits and the second one is Julian. Still very happy with it. I think Julian is a classic strong name. You often feel what it's supposed to be, agreeing is a second thing...

    I think Maxim is really nice! Classic but also quite stylish. We’re looking for a stylish, classic name too—our son is Luca.
    Maurits is also really nice! And Hugo could be an option? Or Dinand? By the way, my brother also likes Pepijn from your list
    We’re currently pregnant with a girl. I’m looking for something that goes well with Luca, a bit stylish/classic but not too long

    I think Floris is a really nice name. Maxim too. The other two less so.

    What lovely names. I personally really like Maurits and Floris. We're expecting our third child, and our oldest boys are named Fabian and Thomas. I've already mentioned Maurits, but my husband doesn't like it. Now I'm thinking of Pepijn.
