Any chance this month?

Hi ladies,
I hope you can help me out of this suffering.
I've been wondering for days if there's still a chance I could be pregnant this month.
I had sex the day after my first positive ovulation test and again the next day.
(Couldn't do it on the actual day because of work) What do you think, is there still a chance?
My situation: trying for a second baby since September 2017, now on my second round with ovulation tests.
Those weeks after ovulation always feel awful to me...
Thanks in advance and wishing everyone lots of luck!
WG

Once you get a positive ovulation test, your egg will release about 24-36 hours later. Everyone has different timelines, but my experience is that ovulation happens 24 hours after the positive test. So you still have a chance the day after the positive test. If your egg releases a day later, you still have a chance. The first few hours are when the egg is most fertile, and after 24 hours, it's the least fertile. So it all comes down to timing! Good luck, and hopefully, it was still within the right window.

    Hi Clautjuh,
    Thanks for your reply.
I won't give up hope just yet this month :-)
I see that you're pregnant, big congratulations!
Did you also use ovulation tests?

Thanks! Yes, I also used ovulation tests. I had an early miscarriage in the cycle before this pregnancy and it turned out I had cysts on both ovaries. So I wasn't sure if I was ovulating at all. Turns out I was, hihi.

    With a special result :-)
Did you use the ovulation tests for a long time?
I don’t have any symptoms at all right now. Other months I always thought I felt something, but now nothing.
Except maybe some painful twinges in my lower belly when I sneeze, but that’s about it.
Have you had a smooth pregnancy so far?

I stopped the pill last September and started using ovulation tests right away. Even though I could feel my ovulation and had a regular cycle, I was still curious. So I got pregnant in November, and my period came back right after the miscarriage. But I already have two kids, almost 15 and 12 years old. I didn’t use ovulation tests back then. The pregnancy is going well, I had a lot of nausea but that’s gone now. And no abnormalities with the little girl. Because of my age, I did a NIPT test. I’m 39 years old. Now just waiting for her to arrive!

Then it sounds like you got pregnant easily! It took 5 months with my son, and now I'm 7 months in again. That's why I started using ovulation tests. I'm putting a lot more effort into it now than with my son, it's really weird. It's good that your daughter was declared completely healthy; that's always such a relief, especially once you've passed the 16-week mark.

Yeah, despite our age, we got pregnant easily. I do come from a fertile family, but the guy needs to have good swimmers too. Oh well, they say trying for a year is normal. I was also much more focused on it now.
