Week overdue, negative blood test, still pregnant?

Hi everyone,
I'm completely confused. Hopefully, you can help me out!
I'm now over a week overdue.
At 6 days overdue, I did a home test. Negative.
With my previous pregnancy, it was also negative, even though I turned out to be pregnant.
I had a blood test done at 6 to 7 days overdue. Also negative.
Still, I have symptoms that I really don't imagine : larger breasts and nipples, sensitive nipples with more 'bumps', back pain, occasional nausea, extreme fatigue, watery discharge, night sweats. After my ovulation, I had a week of twinges around my left ovary and uterus. My heart rate is also quite a bit faster and I occasionally have palpitations. Strange feeling in my stomach, bloated and swollen. I regularly feel 'twinges', a few days ago I was teaching and had to laugh because my stomach was tickling, just like I was on a ride! This went up and down all day. And more importantly: no period for nine days.
Since I need a larger bra now, I know I'm not imagining all this.
When I asked my GP if I could still be pregnant despite the negative blood test (I was 6 to 7 days overdue then), he answered somewhat vaguely. My hCG wasn't 0, but also not 6, which would indicate I'm really pregnant.
Does anyone recognize this? Are there women who only got a positive blood test later, after testing negative first?
Thanks in advance for your responses!!
Best,
Juffie

Maybe you got pregnant later on, but that doesn't match your symptoms. You really need hCG to be pregnant; otherwise, your body would reject the embryo. Just Google hCG and its function. A blood test is really reliable!

    Thanks for the reply!
I got my period this morning. Or at least, that's what I thought. I have so much pain in my back, belly, and even my upper thighs.
I've never had this with my periods before. Could it be a miscarriage because there wasn't enough hCG in my blood?

A blood test will show how much hCG there is, so I don't think that's it. So if a blood test says negative, you weren't pregnant either. Try to let go a bit, sometimes you want it so much that it feels like it's true, but it's not.

I hope you get a clear positive test soon, but relax. It will definitely work out!
