What do you think of the name Noan (pronounced like noo-an)? And is this name nicer than Jamie?

    Super fun!!
And yeah, more fun than Jamie.

Yes, I think Noan is a really nice name! Jamie, honestly, I don't find so appealing...

He's less common than Jamie. Sounds pretty nice.

I think Noan is super cute too, he was on our list as well. Jamie was on it too, same taste ;-).
I find Noan nicer than Jamie. The only thing I regret about the name is the English pronunciation: "no-one". That's actually the only reason we're not going with this name..

You could also make it Nolan?
It's also a brand name, by the way.
I still think Iain is a beautiful name, but my partner didn't like it at all, and in the end it became Ilse because it was a girl

But there are more tastes in the same vein, of course.

Roan, Boaz, Cain, Feliz, Brenn, etc.

That's right, Zonnebloempje10, the pronunciation of "no-one" is also a bit of a deterrent for us. But I'm wondering whether I'll really care about that or not. So far, it's the only name that my partner and I are really positive about, and it fits well with the name of our other son. Doubt, doubt.

I'd find the English pronunciation a bit of a problem myself, since the world is becoming more and more international. I'd rather go with Roan.

Roan doesn't find my boyfriend handsome. What do you think of Loan then? Also pronounced as loo-án.

Nice name. I also like Nolan and Novan. Not Jamie.

I find Loan less appealing than Noan and Roan (Rohan/Rowan).

What do you think about the name Noam? Is it not done because of possible confusion with the English "no one"?

    Nice!

Noan is a really nice name. Easy to pronounce. Personally, I find Noam a bit less appealing... I also think Nolan and Loan are very nice.
Jamie is just not my taste.

I immediately thought of "nobody" in English too. I do think it's a nice name though, but that was my first thought.

    cute name

I think it's a nice name for a boy. For a girl, I personally find Jamie more appealing, pronounced as "Jemi" with an English pronunciation.

Never heard of it. At first glance it sounds nice because I didn't make the connection with "no one." But I wouldn't like it if my kid gets teased about it—you know how kids can be. (You really can't blame me, sorry.) I also can't figure out if it's a girl's or boy's name.

    Great. Much better than Jamie.
