When do they start?

Hi there!

I want to start trying this round with ovulation tests... I've found quite a bit of information, but I still have some questions. When should I start? My cycle isn't consistent—it's 26, 24, and 29 days, so when exactly should I begin? I'm currently on cycle day 4.

What's the best time of day to do the test? Some sites say between 10 am and 9 pm, while others say use your first morning urine?

I work 5 days a week, so I'd rather not do it at work, of course. They don't know anything about it, right?

    I'd go by your shortest cycle. So 26 days. If it ends up being a bit later, you'll still be there in time. So around day 12 you'd ovulate with a 26-day cycle... maybe start testing around day 10. Good luck!

    I’d also think about day 10 and just don’t use first morning urine, and for the rest, always at the same time.

    Okay, I always work from 8 to half past 5. Could I do it at home around 6 PM, or is that too late?

    With Clearblue, you should definitely use morning urine.

    I work in healthcare, so I didn’t always test at the same times. You can also test right after work, and if they’re rising, twice a day.

    Okay, thanks! Yeah, I find it so inconvenient to take a cup to the toilet at work, haha. So I thought it's better to wait until I get home. And if you test twice a day, is it usually morning or afternoon? And then again in the evening? Sorry, I don't really know much about this and I don't want to miss my peak, haha.

    Cloee, I always test when I get home from work. Testing around 6 PM seems fine to me. I'm not going to mess around with a cup at work either ;-)
