Hi everyone!
I have a question: I have an irregular cycle, ranging from 30 to 45 days. I’m already seeing a gynecologist about this. This month, I felt my ovulation clearly, like almost every month. On the day I felt that pain, I had sex. Is it still in time? Last month, my ovulation was the day after the pain, so I hope it’s okay. Does anyone have experience with this?
Love,
Kim

Yes, you're definitely still in time.. sperm can live for several days in the uterus/fallopian tubes. We had intercourse every other day around ovulation. That way the sperm quality is good and it worked for me.. multiple times. Good luck!

Ah that's nice to hear! Now just waiting for the NOD, which of course feels like it'll take forever. Can't wait to test. Thanks!!

Hi kimmx24.. it feels like I'm reading my own story. My cycles are also very irregular. Between 31 and 49 days. This month I had a late ovulation again.. I should get my period Mon/Tue and then my cycle will be 45 days again, but of course I hope I'm pregnant. I also have incredibly painful ovulation pain. It lasts 3 or 4 days and with ovulation the pain is almost unbearable. I really have to take painkillers just to be able to have sex at all. Do you have this too? We already have a daughter and I don't relate to this at all. Are you going for your first pregnancy? I've already been to the gynecologist but everything looked fine. No adhesions or anything.. I'm not allowed to come back for another year. I'm really scared something is wrong.. we're going to the GP in May, they've been working on it for a year. Why are you seeing the gynecologist? Have you had any tests? Hope we both soon walk around with a little baby bump!

    Hi Tess89!
My pain during ovulation actually varies a bit from month to month. One month it's so bad that I can't walk upright, this month it was a bit less, so I took full advantage! I'm now at 7DPO and feeling all sorts of things but I'm afraid to hope. I'm seeing a gynecologist because my partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year, but it's been quite difficult due to irregular cycles. I was once pregnant by him, but it ended in a miscarriage... at 4 weeks already. I've had all sorts of internal examinations and everything is fine. So hopefully this month it'll be the one!
And congratulations girl, that's super nice with such a beautiful test!!

Thank you!! It's so sad that it didn't work out the first time.. I hope with you that it'll be successful soon for you both!! Are they already doing something for you after more than a year? Or do you still need to try on your own? Will you let us know on this forum when you're pregnant?

Well, if I'm not pregnant this month, I have to call the hospital on the first day of my period to get an ultrasound. They'll check if my fallopian tubes are open. Just had some pretty sharp stabs in my uterus, really like period cramps. So maybe implantation? Or my ovulation.. But that's never lasted that long, and I would've felt it a week ago. So all the uncertainty combined... And I'll definitely let you know!

Oh exciting, kimmx24! I'm rooting for you that this is the right place!! I also had some cramps yesterday.. so I thought I'd get my period. Is this a short cycle for you? I only got my ovulation on cycle day 29 this month, so I had less confidence in this month. But you should see.. just one more week to wait! Rooting for you!!

If all goes well, my cycle is now 30 days long. I just did an ovulation test to be sure, and there was barely a second line visible, so it wasn't my ovulation this time! That gives me some hope. Now it's countdown to NOD and hoping that this implantation sticks nicely.

    Wow, congratulations Tess89!

Those twinges are definitely familiar, Kimmx24. I had a few sharp twinges in the evening at 6 dpo too. On the right side, but really in my uterus, not like with my ovulation. My whole uterus was tender all evening, and the next morning at 7 dpo I had some bleeding. I recognized this from my previous pregnancy last November. Unfortunately, that ended in an early miscarriage. But the symptoms were the same. Although I didn't have this with my two kids. So at 8 dpo I took a test... there was a very faint test line. At 9 dpo, the line on the pregnancy test was already light but more distinct. And it got darker each day. So for me, those twinges were really from implantation. I hope it's the same for you now!

    Hi Clautjuh,
Nice to read this! (of course not about the miscarriages..)
I also had just a few seconds to a minute of sharp stabbing pain low in my belly on the left side, and now the rest of the evening I do have a sensitive uterus, it even pulls a bit when I sneeze or cough. So I hope it's settling in nicely! I'm going to do the predictor early test next Tuesday, 11DPO. I'm already so excited!

Thank you so much, Clautjuh!! Kimmx24, that sounds positive! I still have some cramps now and then. I hope it's just from implantation and not that I'm going to get my period after all. Rooting for you!

    Tess89,
You hear a lot in early pregnancy that period-like cramps persist. So I hope things keep going well for you too! No bleeding is a good sign thanks girl, I'll let you know once I've tested!
  16. Moedertjuh #17

Yeah, I had that crampy feeling too. Even at 12 dpo I had some bleeding after a positive test. But everything went well, so don't worry too much. Although I did worry because of the miscarriage the round before. That's why I got an ultrasound at 6 weeks.

Kimmx24, how are you doing now?
