Second baby dilemma

Hi! I've been having doubts for a while about whether I want a second child. I actually enjoy being a mum, so that's not holding me back; it's mainly the fact that I had a tough pregnancy with pelvic instability. That's what's really putting me off wanting to do it again. I was already on sick leave (via the UWV) at 18 weeks, and I'm not exactly the type to sit still, so that was really hard for me.

When I see a baby on TV or in my surroundings, or hear someone is pregnant, it starts to itch inside me. Unfortunately, that feeling quickly turns into doubt or even envy about being pregnant again.

Are there any mums who have had similar feelings, and what helped you make up your mind?

Our daughter will be 2 in May this year. My husband would really like another child, but he understands why I'm hesitant or might not even want to anymore, and he's very supportive of that.

Best,

If it works out, you’ll only have 9 months of discomfort from your pregnancy in exchange for years of joy with your little one.

Exactly what the anonymous poster said; in the end, it doesn't weigh that much. Who knows, your pregnancy might turn out to be easier than expected! It's such a special but also quite intense time for many women! But look how beautiful babies are
