Boy's name - almost due!

Hi! I'm almost due but we're still deciding between 3 names. We want a tough, strong name that won't cause any issues abroad. These are the 3 options:
- Fedde
- James
- Mees
What associations do you have with these names? Hockey, poop, tough, hip, popular, etc?

    Fedde
    Chic, original, international, subtle.

    James
    Tough, classic, international, dramatic.

    Mees
Sweet, soft, Dutch, homemade spelt bread parents.

Thanks for the comments! Haha, it's so fun to read your associations!
Especially Mees's one I find quite striking and wasn't quite expecting. Although I did wonder if he was tough enough. And Fedde is indeed international, which I was afraid might be 'too Frisian'. With James, I wonder if the name isn't also pretty cool?
I'm also curious if you have any nice ideas for a second name with these options?

Haha, yes Mees is of course already a soft name, but the associations people here mention are pretty funny, yeah! :-D
Fedde Fries? Maybe also, I only know it from abroad anyway! Among other places France and the US.
James could also be old-fashioned/elitist. But it remains classic and tough... I think.

    Second names for these names:

    Fedde Cedric
    James Lewis
    Mees Julius

Isn't Fedde a Frisian name? I'm not really a fan of it myself. I don't see James as an arrogant little boy at all, but rather as a tough guy. I'd go with James myself. I think Mees is too soft for a boy. James is an elite name in New York, but I don't think so in the NL (Chantal Janzen's son is also called James, and I don't find him arrogant at all, etc.). Actually, it's just a nice name!

    Maybe:
    James Duco
    James Cedric
    James Alexander
    James Fedde
    James Tygo
    James Nathan
    James Julien
    James Owen
    James Charlie
    James Olivier
    James Lodewijk Mees
    James Nino
    James Merijn
    James Isha
    James Mason
    James Lennox
    James Rafael
    James Coen

Maybe Mason is an option? Mees comes up, but I find it much nicer and tougher myself!

    Fedde.
    Frisian, farmer-ish, busy,

    James
Timeless, international, a bit standard, tough

    Mees
Yeah, that cargo bike family, a bit too sweet but nice.

With Fedde and Meest, I get a Dutch vibe.
With James, it feels more international.
Since you specifically mention no problem abroad, I’d go for James.
James Fedde! Give him a middle name????
