Hi ladies,

On Thursday I started feeling really rough (nauseous, vomiting)

This afternoon I had a little bit of bleeding.

This reminded me of implantation! Since we've been trying for a while and I had read that an ovulation test can also turn positive, I couldn't resist my curiosity and took one. Two clear lines appeared immediately.

Tonight I had a little bit of bleeding again (light pink)

Now I'm starting to doubt whether it's just my period after all. (Although it would be quite early and I'd normally have more bleeding)

Can an ovulation test turn positive if you're on your period?

Somewhere inside me I feel like no. And it's also pretty strange that the ovulation test turned positive so quickly, if it were implantation.

Somewhere inside me says this is all totally impossible!! ... I probably shouldn't have taken the test! I don't get it at all.. well, you want to know so badly, right?! ????

No, an ovulation test doesn't turn positive when you get your period.. it does for the LH hormone and the HCG hormone. I tested this cycle by testing with both. In my case, the ovulation test turned darker earlier than the pregnancy test. The ovulation tests were from Sensitest. The photo below was taken at 8/9 dpo. Pregnancy test and ovulation test done with the same urine.

    Thanks for your reply, Clautjuh.
And the confirmation that an ovulation test won’t show positive if you’re having your period or about to get it.
No bleeding today either, so maybe it was implantation after all?? I hope so!!
Did another ovulation test this morning and got two clear lines right away.
I’ll try a pregnancy test in about a week.
    Thank you so much.

Oh, that's so weird! I don't get it either... Sometimes our cycle is like one big puzzle. Hope you get some clarity soon!
