That's so intense for you guys! It makes sense that you're feeling so much grief, especially so soon after it happened. You're now entering a period of mourning. Everyone goes through this differently and at their own pace. Just allow yourself to feel your emotions and try to give them a place. It's hard to imagine right now, but time will make it possible. It's beautiful that you got to carry them, and they will always be a part of you. No one can take that away. Wishing you lots of strength in the coming period.

I’ve been through it myself, so I can imagine you’re feeling lost right now. Nothing in life is as unfair as losing a child you had longed for so much. Keep talking about your feelings and your loss with people in your own circle. That helped me, at least. I had a few people I could cry with and talk about it as often as I needed to. That way, I slowly found my way back to myself until I could also look back at the sad time we’d been through with a smile and affection. The loss of my son will never get any smaller, but I can see the sunny side of life again. Give yourself as much time and space as you need. Time doesn’t heal all wounds, but the worst pain does fade over time.
