We love short, tough, Dutch names. Below are the names we find really cool and the reasons why they're not THE name:
Jesse --> ranked number 1 but too popular.
Sem --> too popular.
Julan --> my husband likes it, but I find it too neat, not tough enough.
Jerre --> my husband doesn't like it.
Jidde --> just made up, I think it's amazing but my husband doesn't.
Jurre --> very nice but there's an acquaintance of ours with that name.
We don't like foreign names. I have the feeling that I mainly like names ending in a vowel.

And Juul or Jool(s) (pronounced in English) instead of Julian? Maybe a bit cooler..... -

And what do you think of this one? It's a Norwegian name; Sverre. It does sound in line with what you've already chosen, I think... -

What do you think of Jelte/Jens? Here are a few other suggestions: Hidde/Sil/Mats.
