They should be just as dark as the control line.. which cycle day are you on now and how long is your cycle usually?
  2. Miepje #22

    Last period was Jan 12.
    Cycle 27/28 days.
I've had pretty bad stomach pain for a few days now, and the tests were still lying around at home.
This morning I did one, but it's very light compared to yesterday and the day before.

Jan 12 is cycle day 1, so I'd start ovulation testing around cycle day 11-12.
  4. Miepje #24

Thanks, do you mean the line should get thicker?
The color of the second line is purple, and the thicker control line is pink.

These lines always turn purple when he dries.. it's really about how quickly and clearly it appears at the moment. Then I mean the line that appears at the T.. the line at the C is always thick and purple.. the thickness of the T line doesn't matter so much. As long as it's just as dark as the C line.

    Thanks for your explanation!

Jan 20 was the first day of my period. When should I start using ovulation tests?
  9. Trees87 #29

    How long is your cycle??
If it's 28 days, I'd start testing around day 31. That puts you on day 12.

    Tip: read the leaflet.

You probably mean Feb 20, no worries. Two weeks before your period is when you're fertile, and that's also when you ovulate. Usually, ovulation happens around cycle day 14, but it can be earlier or later depending on how long your cycle is.

    positive ovulation test?
    It's getting fuzzier after Thursday.
    Thursday was busy.
  15. Trees87 #35

It's sometimes hard to say... in my case, it's always darker... but I've also read here that it doesn't get very dark for everyone. From the day it peaks until 2 days later, it can jump!

hey everyone, I'm on day 11 today and started using ovulation tests out of curiosity. I tried both Kruidvat and Action tests. Naturally, I didn't expect either to be positive yet, but I have to say the second line on the Kruidvat test is much clearer than on the Action test. Could it be more sensitive?
  17. Lady #37

Miepje.. the top one seems positive to me.. everyone says they should be just as dark, but that's not true for everyone.. if the tests after this one really get lighter again, then the top test is indeed positive.. did you feel anything that day.. pain, twinges, or something?
  18. Lady #38

Tinkerbell.. isn't that written on the boxes of the tests which one is more sensitive? Or in the leaflet..
Unfortunately, I have no experience with Kruidvat ovulation tests.. I only use Action ovulation tests.. good feeling about them.. I just bought Action tests to avoid waste.

We’re using these round ones for ovulation tests for the first time too (from Action). My cycle started on Jan 1st. First test on the 15th was negative, 16th and 17th also negative. On the 18th a very faint line, and on the 19th a slightly clearer line, but it’s nowhere near like the control line. Did another test today and the line got fainter again. I really don’t get these tests at all????
  20. Lady #40

Luna.. that's totally fine.. I always get lines but they change a lot too.
That's why I use an app to keep track of everything.. the app does the calculations and I use the tests to see if it matches up. If I didn't use that app, I probably wouldn't understand any of it either.
